<p>Jupyter is coming to the Southeast: get ready for JupyterDay Atlanta, Saturday, August 13th! We are pleased to announce the fifth JupyterDay which will be hosted at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Conference Center.</p>

Lead organizers Tony Fast and Nick Bollweg have a great event planned that is committed to education, open source, and community, which is organized by the local business, academic, and open source community. Or go right now and <a href="https://jupyterday-atlanta-2016.eventbrite.com">get your tickets</a>!</p> <h2 id="what-is-jupyterday-atlanta">What is JupyterDay Atlanta?</h2> <p>The Jupyter community and software mostly lives online on <a href="https://github.com/jupyter">Github</a>, on the <a href="https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/jupyter">discussion group</a>, and at national and global conferences like SciPy, PyData and PyCon — JupyterDay Atlanta is a locally-organized event that gives Jupyter users, from beginners to experts, the opportunity to meet in person, talk about their work, and <em>write code</em> without leaving their hometown.
